It's Banned Books Month! We do it a little differently here in Ishpeming. We liked the idea so much we extended it from a week to almost a month. Stop into the Library to check out a banned or challenged book. Each one is labelled with the reason it was banned or challenged. Is your favorite book one of them?

What is SYNC?

• SYNC is a program that develops the audience of teen/YA audiobook listeners.

• Two complete digital audiobooks--a current Young Adult title paired thematically with a Classic or assigned Summer Reading title--are available FREE each week to listeners ages 13+.

• A dedicated SYNC group on audiobookcommunity.com is the hub of the delivery of the downloads, editorial content, and user engagement. The audiobook titles were selected to inspire follow-up listening.

The Teen Book Discussion of the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins will be on Wednesday, July 6th at 6 p.m. This is a great read, so even if you aren't able to attend the discussion stop by the library to check out a copy of this book!

Teen Summer Reading Program

You can be anywhere you want this summer when you read. Teens are invited to the library this summer to read for prizes as well as take part in special events offered throughout the summer. Registration for the Summer Reading Program begins June 6th.
