Goodreads
The Ishpeming Teen Book Club has begun reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman on www.goodreads.com. This allows any teen to virtually discuss their feelings/opinions about the book in a respectable manner. We will also be discussing If I Stay by Gayle Forman on July 7th at 1 p.m. in the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library Teen Circle. Below is the first question available about the book to discuss. More questions will be available on July 7th at the discussion and on www.goodreads.com under the group: The Ishpeming Teen Book Club.
The Mood:
The story opens with school being closed because of inclemented weather and Mia's family deciding to take a trip to visit friends and relatives. Describe the mood of the morning. What role does this scene play when tragedy hits?
(Free copies of the book are available at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library for dedicated young adult readers attending the July 7th discussion at 1 p.m. Hopefully we will see you there.)
